Information for Monday opening
Friday 20th March
Dear parent / carer,
Following the government advice, we are open on Monday for those children whose parents are classed as ‘key workers’. For those who have notified us you are part of this group we are expecting your child(ren) to attend school as normal from 8:50 – 3:30. Thank you if you have already sent in your evidence, if not please send to the school email account as soon as possible. Whilst we will never turn any child away, we may have to ask some parents for greater clarity / evidence but will inform you of this in the days to come.
On Monday, please bring your child to school in their normal uniform, bringing PE kit (any sports kit will be fine) and also spare/old clothes that they could wear when running around on the field or for gardening in etc.
During the day the children will take part in different activities ranging from Joe Wicks fitness sessions, arts and crafts to computing. Please note that, although the children are attending school and will be with school staff, we will not be trying to teach the children the national curriculum or replicating the normal school lessons.
Your child will also need to bring with them a packed lunch if they are in year 3 or 4 and do not qualify for free school meals.
There will be no after school clubs during this period, however the wraparound provision can still be accessed as normal. If this is something that you would like to utilise please contact Jan on 0191 2533452.
We ask that all children come into school using the main gates at 8:40am. As per recent days, the gate will not be open until this time with all other gates being locked before school. Parents are to collect children from the main yard at the end of the day.
Again, thank you for your co-operation and patience over recent days. This has been a difficult time for everyone and we appreciate your ongoing support
Kind regards,
Mr T Jones
